So happy to hear reflections of your week away. Something on my mind to share with you; I love how you are modeling a positive way to deal with a deep trauma and a deep feeling. You are giving yourself time to be with it, to sit with it, to learn from it, to grow from it, to accept it, to love it,. You take the time to acknowledge that it is there and to give yourself that space. But you do not wallow in it you do not stay in it. It is a place that you visit, but do not let yourself get consumed by. What a great way to model that for others. Whether it is a deep abandonment trauma, or simply a memory of a loss, or even a memory of a wonderful positive moment. Giving yourself a space to acknowledge and feel all that you feel, but not to get consumed and lost it.
From your notes - realizing I feel lost when I really get I have zero control of what others think of me, I also get that I really don’t want to live in a world where I control others… then I see how just possibly the lost feeling may offer me something I want and need, if i just open to receiving it.
