Lisa, your reflection on the tension between being present and the lure of the internet resonated deeply. In our hyper-connected world, it's so easy to get swept away by the endless scroll. Your words are a gentle reminder that logging off is not just okay, it's essential for nurturing our connection with the present moment. I love the idea of fading into "irrelevance" online to gain more relevance in our own lives. It's a powerful reminder that our worth isn't measured by likes or shares, but by the depth of our presence in the world.

Love your list of things. So much truth. If we really listen, the universe tells us when to strive for expansion and when to cocoon and turn inward. We are not designed for constant go go go. We just need to remind ourselves this in this ever on world.

I so deeply resonated with #12 as I’m doing the work to heal my inner child. I never thought that reliving the pain now, as an adult, would be imperative for my healing. 🧡

The whole thing is delicious, but I came here to say: describing the summer as feeling “plump” … that’s just so deeply good!! 🥰

I have been walloped this year by a succession of hopeful plans and deep desires not panning out as imagined, my incessant need to know and control what is next being blown to absolute smithereens (as life is wont to do). I know it is a lesson I am ever in need of learning, but I still feel untethered and often uneasy with unknowing. #7 gave me such an immediate sense of peace and curiosity (with #20 a close companion). Such a refreshing alternative to the state I often wind myself up into. Going to be musing on that one for a while, thank you for the perspective.

Goodness THIS. and oh the bardo... I too am so familiar with that space. I resonate deeply with you in where you are and the challenges of letting it go into the Mystery. Will I still matter? Will I be remembered? Does it matter if not?

Much love.

Loved your 20 ideas, Lisa.

Identify with them all. Change and growth seems to have so many details, convolutions. Wrinkly paper… which we thought was flat.

Love your support and work for letting go. OMG I need that. The desire to control outcomes (personal, situational) is showing up as a Joy killer.

Work to be done 😊

soooo many times I think that I've let something go, and then i find out that i STILL need to let it go more. certain things hold more attachment than others and take multiple steps to let go.

excellent advice.

Maybe the Bardo is not the between spaces of life's plans. Could it be, our whole life on earth, in the human form? From the moment we are pushed out into the world we are changing. Growth is painful. Loving ourselves and others is hard when we witness atrocity enmasse or experience the ebbing of our existence as "failure". Uncertainty is the flavor on the tongue we haven't yet tasted after biting into a slice of our dreams. Sometimes, we'll courageously go in for a second bite, and sometimes we'll put our fork down and let ourselves digest the beauty of the meal. Thank you, Lisa, for sharing these notes with us. It untied some of life's knots.

Mmmm I echo this sentiment of being in the bardo and have heard it from more than a few folks right now. Do you have Kim Krans' archetype deck? The bardo is a super cool card. Sending you love and grace in this passage through to the other side! Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

Her archetype deck has been a longtime favorite, and I pull the bardo card frequently! Which... of course I do. Thank you for reading <3

Beautiful! I was just talking to a friend and taroist yesterday about how I know I’m turning a corner in life when I pull a new card, because mostly it’s the same ones again and again. Just yesterday I pulled a new one—the gem. It was exciting! I am ready to move on from the bardo. We’ll see if life agrees. :)

I just sat out on the patio to rest after a heart breaking visit with a family member. I felt the temperature of a warm day as I read this lovely piece.

My heart breaks each time I see children in pain around the world. So your words remind me that it’s part of my interconnection with others. Feeling very interconnected today. And feeling very human. Thank you for writing.

“10 — Feeling the deep ache of witnessing the cruelty in this world isn’t lowering you vibration; it’s allowing you to more deeply access your humanity. Your own “vibration” doesn’t exist in a silo; being affected is a sign of your interconnectedness with all of life. Keep letting yourself feel it all. Keep letting it change you.”

I am with you in the heartbreak. It is at times immense. Our interconnection is what makes it so, which feels like a salve within it all. Thank you for sharing 🧡
