Substack seems to have been down when this email got sent out -- so if it sent twice or you didn't get it in your inbox at all, my apologies! Swirly times all around, it seems...

Brilliant reminders, beautifully expressed! I needed to see this today and will re-read it in the future! Thank you, Lisa! 🌈💗🙏

Beautiful work!! I really needed this today too. I’m just exhausted from too much, everywhere. I had big plans to clean like a maniac today, but my bed was calling while it thunderstormed.

I decided I can clean tomorrow…..

Bed is necessary sometimes 💛

Thank you for these powerful reminders that we are human - fragile, complex, powerful - and that by tending to our own hearts we can bring the gift of loving presence no matter what is going on. A deep bow of gratitude for your gift of presence 🙏🏻♥️

I always appreciate receiving your lovely letters. Thank you for sharing "Small Torch" and for the words, "Delight in the delight." It went into my journal today as a moment of joy.

Thank you for these reminders. So much of this resonates. Something as simple as "do you have your own back?" hits so very close to home

That question really gets me too xx

Thank you, thank you. What a service, a gift you offer us with your words🙏 And thank you for sharing our Scratch That episode this week, too. Oof, how are we doing this?? Seeing the photo of your daughter with her sign -- the tears sprouted out of my eyes before my brain formed a single word.

I would love to have met you for coffee or whatever. Sadly, that's not meant to be. I live near Seattle in WA.

I admire your skill to put down on paper what is in your heart. What a remarkable talent.

You can feel deeply happy and still ache. You can be healing and still have days that bring you to your knees

You can feel joy when something good happens but feel guilty because of the pain that you still carry

These contradictions don’t cancel each other out. They coexist.

They’re not rivals, they’re just messengers from different parts of your heart.

You don’t need to “resolve” everything.

You don’t need to force yourself to feel one thing only.

Instead,

listen and acknowledge it.

Each emotion is trying to protect something. To reveal something. To teach you something

Such a beautiful piece 👏🏽👏🏽
